This is the text I received from Tommy that started this whole thing:

"In case you forgot, there was a time that Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty made an album together, and it was pretty popular."

And I replied:

"And one of the songs on it was a Bruce Springsteen parody called 'Tweeter and the Monkey Man.'

That. Fucking. Happened.

Everything you read in this blog actually happened, whether it happened to us personally, or to us as a culture. It was real, and it all really happened. Just take a moment to reflect on a world in which these things could really be, and then realize you're living in it.
